One rule of thumb that any seasoned traveller will always tell you is to ask the locals - not just where to eat but where they eat! In Bermuda the Freeport Seafood Restaurant is that truly memorable place - family owned and operated, friendly, hospitable and down to earth with dishes that are a great value and simply delicious.

The building that contains The Freeport Seafood Restaurant has actally been used as an eating establishment since the late 1800's. Then it was just a small front room where the Dockyard workers ate their lunch and became an official restaurant after World War II when a Mr. Bean took over the establishment. The current owner operators, Valerio and Kathy Ausenda, took over in the late 1980's and immediately expanded the facility to include what is now the Cocktail Lounge where valerio dipenses his special Bermuda Cocktails.
